Dear Kranz Parents and Students,
I'd like to take this opportunity to introduce myself to you before the start of the school year. My name is Raymond Andry, the new principal here at Charles T. Kranz Intermediate School. I am very excited and look forward to working with each of you this coming school year. My goal and focus is to work with students, parent and teachers to continually improve our educational program and to attend to the diverse needs of our students ensuring their preparation for a successful future. Your child's success is my number one objective, and their enjoyment of school and appreciation for learning is my mission.
In order to reach our ultimate goal of ensuring that all students receive a high-quality, well-rounded education, we need the support of the parents. I encourage all parents to actively participate in their children's education by:
- making sure your child is up to date with classwork and homework daily
- participating in school events
- volunteering
- serving on school and/or district committees
- speaking with your child daily about school and important issues in their lives
I truly believe that you as parents are the first and most important teacher your child will ever have and your support of Kranz and student learning will be greatly appreciated.
I believe the years at Kranz Intermediate School will help prepare the students for the challenges that will follow in their high school years and beyond. It is my hope that the students will take advantage of every opportunity so they can have a productive and worthwhile learning experience.
Please take time to read of all the important information sent along with this letter. The regular school handbook will be sent home closer to the start of school along with a letter with dates to pick up your child's new schedule. Also, I ask that you read and discuss the information with your child so that they know the dress code, attendance policy and expectations for the school year.
The staff and I look forward to working with you to assure that a quality education is a reality for every student. Our doors are always open to meet with you regarding your child's education. Thank you for sharing your children with us.
